There’s something about toilets that brings out the poet, the bard, the artist and the writer in people who normally suffer from a permanent creative block. And, I’m not even counting the lewd messages, ladies’ phone numbers and graphical depictions of sexual acts dotting the world’s restrooms. Or the mangled variants of “Leddies” and “Gends” available on display across India.
I’m talking about true genius, designed to captivate a…well.. captive audience.
This one’s world-famous; a sign at what is considered Bangkok’s worst loo – at Cheap Charlie’s, on Sukhumvit Soi 11.
Closer home, I came across one that displays true copywriting skill, this time in Kodaikanal:
Meanwhile, if you’re the environs of Tangtse, on the road from Leh to Pangong Tso in Ladakh, it’s best that you visit on an empty bladder.
This one in Laos, though, was positively sporty.
